So excited

I'm going to Paris next Thursday and I honestly cannot wait. Even though I've been there twice before, this time is going to be completely different. We're going to be visiting one of the oldest publishing houses in France, going up the Eiffel Tower, boat rides and clubbing. Best of all, nearly all my best Uni friends are coming as well, so I can just tell it's going to be such a hilarious trip! Paris, here we come.

It's about time

I sat back and realised who I really, truly need in my life to be honest. Some people are so fickle, it's ridiculous.

Last night

I went to Kaos last night for the first time since I've been at University, and it was brilliant! Me, Nicole, Charlie, Char, Sam, James and some others had pre drinks at Hamwic before we set off to Kaos, what a mission that was! I didn't really know what to expect to be honest, but it was so good, I have to admit. I am determined never to drink Kyroptonite ever again!! Probably the most lethal drink I've ever had to be honest! I've had loads of pictures tagged of me on Facebook, but seeing as I'm giving up Facebook for 40 days for Lent, I can only hope they aren't too bad!! I'm without Facebook until 29th March, and none of my friends think I'll be able to do it, but I'm determined I will! It's such a distracting thing, and half the time, I get so bored on it, so maybe it's a good thing to do? We'll see :)

Probably got the worst hangover ever today, and I feel dreadful. Me and Nicole went to Yates this afternoon for dinner, and I had to ask one of the staff for foil so I could take my burger home, cringe!! I think today is going to be spent doing absolutely nothing, I don't feel like I can do anything, ha! I'm going on a detox from today until next Wednesday, where we'll be going to Oceana! :)

Urghhh, bad times.

Bonjour Paris

I'm off to Paris next month with my Uni course, and to say I'm excited is a total understatement. 3 days at one of the most beautiful places in the world, focusing on magazine publishers and fashion, with my friends by my side. We've already planned on going to as many nightclubs as we can, and partying it up Paris style. Just imagine, the shopping, the views, the weather, absolutely everything to be honest. Obviously our lecturers will be there, but hopefully we can go off on our own as much as possible. Eee Paree, I cannot wait to come back ♥

Bring it on..

I can't wait for Spring/Summer to arrive so I can ditch the cosy clothes, and bring out the summer dresses, sunnies and sandals!

Okay, I have absolutely no idea where this place is, but what I wouldn't do right about now to be there for a very long holiday. The weather here is enough to depress just about everyone, and I'm getting bored of freezing to death as soon as I step outside!

I don't want to keep looking like a bloody snowman, with a red nose and chapped lips. I want a lush sun tan, and I want to look healthy again! I want to be able to sunbathe, and go to the beach and swim with the sun beating down.

I love going on road trips with my friends, and ending up somewhere fun, and taking lots of pictures.

Oh summer 2010, please be better than the dire attempts of 2009, 2008 and 2007. Thank you :)

You can do anything with your friends by your side ♥

It's been a while

Feels like ages since I've written on here. I'm kinda stressing at the moment as we've got to produce a feature article for two different lecturers, and I'm completely stuck, I have no ideas whatsoever. Whenever I try to think of something, my mind just goes blank, so so annoying! Life is pretty good at the moment, and I've never been happier to be honest. Off to Oceana again tomorrow night with the Magazine Journalism girls which should be fab as always, and went out this Sunday just gone for Char's 20th birthday. A load of us went to Wahoo, and it was absolutely brilliant, I have to admit. The pictures that went on Facebook are hilarious, always a sign of a good night.

I'm going home this Friday until Monday morning as it's my Mum's birthday on Sunday, and I can't wait. Even though I've made a new life for myself in Southampton, I will always class Southbourne as my home, no matter what. It's just so nice to have a bit of peace and quiet, and catch up on everything I've missed while I'm at Uni. I never realised how much I took peace and quiet for granted until I started living in halls, and how much I love my double bed at home.

Anyway, gotta dash. lotsa love ♥

I love this

100% true

I 100% believe in women believing in themselves and what they look like. I'm totally sick of stick thin girls thinking they're fat and that they need to diet all the time. What happened to having a good time and living life to the full? It's all these celebrities in glossy magazines, bones poking through and looking in need of a bloody good meal. Do they honestly think they're being good role models to young girls? Teenagers look up to these celebrities for guidance, how to look, what to wear and so much more. It's time we all got over our body issues, lightened up a little and tried to live life to the full, without worrying over little things. Life is way to short!

the influence of celebrities..

I love Kate Winslet. She's been my favourite celebrity for as long as I can remember to be honest. I love her in Titanic, it's my absolute favourite film, and hand on heart, I pretty much know all the words. Skills yeah? I honestly don't care that it's a typical romantic, weepy film. I love it and that's all that matters! But yeah, isn't it funny how much of an influence certain celebrities can have on you, your views and your life? It's all down to what they do, where they go, what they wear, and what they say. I follow pretty much everything that Kate Winslet does, and I always love her fashion sense. Whatever dresses she wears for events, she never gets it wrong! Lovessss it

Summer

Looking out my window, all I can see is grey skies, grey clouds and dreary rain. If this weather isn't enough to depress anyone, I honestly don't know what is. What I wouldn't do for a nice hot holiday right about now, blue skies, white sands, and sun as hot as you can get. Heaven.

Don't get me wrong, we're in England, what do I expect? But come on, this horrible weather has gone on long enough now, and I'm sick to the back teeth of it all. Having to wrap up in thick coats, gloves and scarves, having to put the heating on full blast, walking like a toddler when there's ice all over the pavements, lips being chapped, skin becoming dry, where's the fun in all of that?

Summer is my all time favourite season, I love absolutely everything about it. From the scorching hot sun, to being able to crack open the big sunglasses, summer dresses, sun cream, and go swimming in the sea. Summer is just perfect, what can anyone hate about it?

However, the way our past summers have been going, I'm very doubtful that we'll get a nice one this year! Fingers crossed!!

glossy interior

I love magazines; seriously I like live and breathe them. I read them even more now my University degree is based around them. From Company to Vogue, to More to Cosmopolitan, I love them! My aim in life is to become a Columnist in a high end glossy, basically my own page with me writing about life, love and handbags! Handbags is also another passion of mine by the way :) but seriously, how totally cool would it be to write about anything that interests you, and get paid for it? It's something I've wanted to do for so long now, and I'm absolutely determined to succeed, I'll do anything in my power to make it happen :)

You're nothing without your friends by your side

It's true what people say when they say that you're nothing without your friends by your side. I've made some brilliant friends since I started University in September, and I'm lucky that we all get on so brilliantly. Here I am with some of the Magazine Journalism girls, Helen, Charlotte and Jane, when we went out last week to Oceana. Lauren and Carol ann are missing from this photograph, but they're the 5 nicest girls I could ever hope to meet :)
