ooops!!

i haven't posted on here for 12 days, i've just completely forgotten all about it! loads has happened since then anyway! i'm finally back at uni after spending three lovely weeks at home, i've got a flat with my friend for next year in milton road, and i've just handed in another two pieces of work yesterday, thank god! it's always such a huge weight off my shoulders when work goes in! and because of that, it was a very good reason to go to oceana and celebrate being brilliant with the magazine journalism girls :)

life is pretty swish at the moment i have to say! we break up for summer in like 3 weeks, and i'm seriously excited, it's going to be awesome! still cannot believe it's nearly the end of our amazing first year, i don't feel quite ready to be a second year just yet!!!!


aaaaah, i better go. i'm SO hungry, hangovers are NOT good! :D

All of these beautiful things make up my memorable childhood.

Brighton ♥

I went to Brighton yesterday, and thankfully the weather was absolutely gorgeous! I went with my Mum, and I spent far too much money, but hey, I had my student loan sitting in my bank prettily, so hey, what a perfect excuse?! I bought loads of super cute stuff, and I would take pictures of my goodies, but I don't have my USB cable at home, so it'll have to wait until I'm back to Soton on Sunday! Anyway, spent like four hours there, and I now know why I love Brighton so much! I haven't been there in ages, and it's such a gorgeous city, so busy and bustling, and I love being near the sea as well. Always a hidden advantage ♥

As I've just said, I'm back to Uni on Sunday, and I'm insanely excited to see all the girls again. I've been home now for three weeks, and I've absolutely loved it. It's been lovely seeing my parents for longer than three days, and just relaxing, shopping and doing nothing really. I've managed to complete a huge block of my work, which is always a good feeling, and I've caught up with some of my friends as well, which is nice. Already planned to go to Wahoo Sunday night, and then down Bedford Place Tuesday night as well. I've missed the beautiful place of Soton, and I am eagerly looking forward to going back...

Ins&Outs

INS:

♥ This beautiful summery weather. It's been a long time coming, and although it's suppose to be rubbish this week, it's been absolutely lovely. I just hope we get a scorcher of a summer! Pretty please?!

♥ Seeing The Blind Side last week with Amanda. It was one of the most beautiful films I've ever seen, and although I didn't have a clue what to expect, I'm so bloody glad I saw it. Definitely purchasing it on DVD.

♥ The summer trends coming out! Walking round the shops and seeing super cute skirts, summer dresses, gladiator sandals and lush blazers, makes me physically yearn for the gorgeous weather!

♥ Checking my bank account online and seeing my student loan sitting there prettily, until it comes through properly tomorrow. Words cannot explain how excited I am to go shopping! :)

OUTS:

♥ Having to work this weekend, yes, the weekend with gorgeous weather. How does that work out? & typically, now that I've finished work for four weeks, the weather turns back to being rubbish!

♥ This horrible, horrible culture essay I have to write. 2,000 words on the representations of males and females, and 431 words later, I'm starting to lack motivation.

♥ Fake tan. I love being tanned, but I seriously cannot use it properly! At the moment, I'm walking round with a patch of dark tan on my left arm. I look like I have a skin condition...

so excited for SATC2 ♥

After watching the first SATC, and absolutely falling in love with it, it's no surprise really that I'm super excited to see the second one. Watching the trailer over and over again, I can tell already it's going to be just as amazing, maybe even better than the first one! The clothes, the shoes, the locations... do I need to go on? What I wouldn't do to be as rich and fabulous as them. I hope May comes quickly, so I can rush out to watch it! :)

The Blind Side

I managed to get to see this film last night, and I'm so glad I did. It's one of the best films I've seen in such a long time, and I can honestly see why Sandra Bullock won an Oscar for her role in this. The Blind Side is based on a true story, centering around a homeless and traumatised black man who gets taken in by a Christian family. His true love is American Football and with the help of his new family, he earns a scholarship with one of the best Universities. When I first sat down in the crowded cinema, I really had no idea what to expect. I'd seen adverts on the television for it, and I must admit it looked pretty good, but I hadn't read any reviews whatsoever, so I was completely in the dark when it first started. I always think when a film is based on a true story it makes it a hell of a lot more realistic and emotional. I felt myself being pulled in slowly as it went on, and the actors were so amazingly real, it was like you could almost relate to them. My friend was in tears by the end of it, and although I didn't cry, I was most definitely moved by the story. So if you're looking for a good film to watch, The Blind Side is that film. It's absolutely fantastic, and Sandra Bullock definitely made it. I would recommend it to pretty much anyone, and I would certainly pay to watch it again. 10/10!

i am hugely proud of myself; i have finished my feature and i'm halfway through my blog! just gotta finish that, and then start my essay, and i'm on my way to getting everything done :) it's always a good feeling when i complete things and i'm productive! cannot wait for tomorrow night, going out and catching up with the girls, should be a good night :)
